Who We Are

A Saudi fabricator built for heavy, complex and time-critical work

2009 Fabricating in the Kingdom since

Founded in Dammam in 2009, Gulf Waves Energy has grown into a full-scope steel fabrication contractor serving the Eastern Province and projects across the Kingdom.

We run our own engineering, fabrication, blasting, painting and QA/QC under one roof — which means fewer interfaces, tighter tolerances and schedules we can actually commit to. Our teams are equally at home producing thousands of tonnes of structural steel for an industrial city as they are fabricating a single coded pressure vessel to a client’s specification.

How We Work

A predictable route from enquiry to handover

Every project runs through the same five controlled stages, each with its own hold points and sign-off.

  1. 01

    Enquiry & Estimation

We review your drawings and specifications, raise technical queries early, and return a priced, itemised proposal with a realistic schedule.

  2. 02

    Engineering & Detailing

Our detailers model the work in Tekla and issue shop drawings for your approval before a single plate is cut.

  3. 03

    Procurement & Traceability

Material is ordered against approved mill certificates, uniquely marked and tracked through every stage of production.

  4. 04

    Fabrication & QC

Cutting, fit-up, welding, NDT, blasting and painting — each with documented inspection and test plan hold points.

  5. 05

    Delivery & Erection

We load, transport and erect on site with our own crews and rigging, then hand over a complete dossier of as-built records.

Why Gulf Waves

What clients keep coming back for

Schedules we hold

Capacity is planned before we commit. When we give a delivery date, it is one our shop loading can actually absorb.

Single point of responsibility

Engineering, fabrication, coating and erection sit under one contract — no gaps between trades for problems to hide in.

Documented quality

Every weld, coat and dimension is recorded. You receive a complete data book, not a verbal assurance.

Certified welders

Our welders hold current ASME IX and AWS D1.1 qualifications, re-tested on the procedures your job actually uses.

Saudi content

A local workforce, local supply chain and a growing Saudi national headcount — supporting your in-Kingdom value targets.

Safety without exception

ISO 45001 systems, daily toolbox talks and an incident record we are happy to put in front of any client audit.

Sectors

Industries we build for

The specifications differ, the discipline does not.

Oil & Gas
Pipe racks, platforms, skids and coded vessels for upstream and downstream facilities.
Petrochemical
Structural steel, equipment supports and piping for chemical and polymer plants.
Power & Utilities
Boiler structures, cable racks, stacks and turbine hall steelwork.
Water & Desalination
Treatment plant structures, tanks, walkways and pipe supports.
Infrastructure
Bridges, canopies, space frames and architectural steel for public works.
Industrial & Logistics
Pre-engineered buildings, mezzanines, racking and warehouse structures.

Client Feedback

What our clients say

Project managers, consultants and plant owners on working with Gulf Waves Energy.

“We placed the pipe rack package with Gulf Waves because their programme was the only one that accounted for our shutdown windows. They held every milestone, and the modular approach took eleven weeks off our site works.”
KA

Eng. Khalid Al-Otaibi

Project Director · Petrochemical EPC Contractor

“The documentation package was the most complete I have received from a regional fabricator. Weld maps, heat numbers, NDT reports — all cross-referenced and delivered before the equipment arrived on site.”
SW

Sarah Whitfield

Lead Mechanical Engineer · International Refining Consultancy

“They erected conveyor galleries over a running plant without costing us a single unplanned production hour. Their lift planning and coordination with our operations team were genuinely impressive.”
AA

Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Ghamdi

Plant Manager · Cement Manufacturing Company

“Their estimate came back higher than two competitors and I nearly passed. Their price was the one that did not move once. I would not make that mistake in the other direction again.”
MA

Mohammed Al-Harbi

Procurement Manager · Regional Logistics Group

“Duplex fabrication is where most shops quietly cut corners. Gulf Waves segregated the bay, verified ferrite on every production weld, and let our inspector witness whatever he asked to see.”
FA

Eng. Fatimah Al-Zahrani

QA/QC Manager · Water & Desalination Authority

“Architecturally exposed steel is unforgiving and most fabricators underestimate it. The trial assembly in their yard caught two clashes that would have been very expensive to discover at height.”
JO

James Okonkwo

Construction Manager · Infrastructure Main Contractor

Quality & HSE

Inspected before it leaves the shop

Our QA/QC department is independent of production and reports directly to management. Nothing ships on a promise.

  1. 01

Approved inspection and test plan for every work package

  2. 02

Radiographic, ultrasonic and magnetic particle testing in-house

  3. 03

Coating thickness and adhesion verified before dispatch

  4. 04

Third-party and client witness points accommodated at no notice cost

We handle packages from a few tonnes of miscellaneous steel up to multi-thousand-tonne structural contracts. There is no minimum — but for very small items we will tell you honestly if a local jobbing shop would serve you better.

For a defined scope with drawings, expect a priced proposal within three to five working days. Budget estimates for early-stage enquiries usually come back within 48 hours.

Yes. We hold approvals relevant to structural steel and fabricated equipment, and we work regularly to Aramco engineering standards and inspection requirements.

Both. We maintain our own erection crews, rigging and supervision, and can take a package from shop drawing through to installed and signed off.

Yes — and we will review them properly first. Where we spot a constructability or fit-up issue, you will hear about it during estimation rather than during fabrication.

We are based in Dammam and work throughout the Eastern Province, with delivered and erected projects in Jubail, Yanbu, Riyadh, Jeddah, Rabigh and the northwest.
