About Gulf Waves Energy

Seventeen years of steel, and the standards to prove it

We are a Saudi fabrication contractor built around one idea: that heavy steel work should be predictable. Predictable quality, predictable schedules, predictable people to deal with.

Our Story

From a single workshop in Dammam to a Kingdom-wide contractor

Gulf Waves Energy began in 2009 as a modest fabrication shop serving contractors in Dammam’s Second Industrial City. The work was ordinary — brackets, supports, small structures — but the approach was not. We documented everything, we finished when we said we would, and word travelled.

Today we operate an 18,000 m² covered facility with automated beam lines, CNC plate processing and an enclosed blasting and painting hall, backed by our own engineering, QA/QC and site erection teams. The scale has changed considerably. The approach has not changed at all.

Our Mission

To deliver fabricated steel that meets its specification exactly, on the date we committed to, with documentation complete enough that no one has to take our word for it.

Our Vision

To be the fabrication partner Saudi industry turns to first for work that is too heavy, too complex or too time-critical to risk elsewhere.

What We Stand On

Four commitments we do not negotiate

01 Say it accurately
We quote what the job actually costs and commit to dates we can actually hold. An uncomfortable estimate beats a comfortable surprise.
02 Build it right
Specification is the floor, not the target. Where a detail is ambiguous, we resolve it with you before it becomes rework.
03 Prove it
Mill certificates, weld maps, NDT reports, coating records. Every claim we make about your steel comes with evidence attached.
04 Protect people
No schedule, client or margin justifies an unsafe lift. Our crews go home in the condition they arrived.

Milestones

How we got here

  1. 2009

    Founded in Dammam

A single 1,200 m² workshop with eleven staff, fabricating miscellaneous steel for local contractors.

  2. 2012

    ISO 9001 certification

Formal quality management introduced, opening the door to industrial and petrochemical clients.

  3. 2015

    ASME U-Stamp awarded

Pressure vessel fabrication brought in-house, adding coded equipment to our scope.

  4. 2018

    Facility expansion

Move to the current 18,000 m² covered plant with automated beam lines and an enclosed paint hall.

  5. 2021

    Aramco vendor approval

Approved for structural and fabricated equipment supply, with work across the Eastern Province.

  6. 2024

    Site erection division

In-house erection crews and rigging established, closing the loop from shop drawing to installation.

Safety & Environment

The part of the job nobody should have to ask about

We run ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems because the alternative is unacceptable, not because a tender asked for them.

  1. 01 Daily toolbox talks and documented job hazard analysis
  2. 02 Lifting plans reviewed and signed before every critical lift
  3. 03 Certified riggers, banksmen and confined-space attendants
  4. 04 Waste segregation and controlled disposal of blast media and solvents

Client Feedback

What our clients say

“We placed the pipe rack package with Gulf Waves because their programme was the only one that accounted for our shutdown windows. They held every milestone, and the modular approach took eleven weeks off our site works.”

Eng. Khalid Al-Otaibi

Project Director · Petrochemical EPC Contractor

“The documentation package was the most complete I have received from a regional fabricator. Weld maps, heat numbers, NDT reports — all cross-referenced and delivered before the equipment arrived on site.”
SW

Sarah Whitfield

Lead Mechanical Engineer · International Refining Consultancy

“They erected conveyor galleries over a running plant without costing us a single unplanned production hour. Their lift planning and coordination with our operations team were genuinely impressive.”
